Job Description
We are working closely with our major non-profit organization client to identify a true Learning Experience Designer to update and visually transform a 20-year-old safety training course for lifeguards. The training is currently ~400 pages (ILT and practical training exercises).
Our client is a training professional who is seeking a true creative who understands and is an expert in creating very effective layouts and use of space so that the reimagined training will allow Trainers to easily locate the most critical information and deliver the training very efficiently and comprehensively with an emphasis on the most vital learning objectives. A background in User Experience (UX) will be necessary; skills or training in graphic design and layout would be a plus.
In this role, you will work with Subject Matter Experts offering ideas on the design and layout. Deliverables will be created in PowerPoint and PDF.
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Due August 1st
Hours: To be determined by the consultant; must be available during CT business hours for meetings
Location: Virtual

Experience Required:
- Degree and 5+ years of professional experience in Learning & Development required.
- Degree or Certifications in Instructional Technologies, UX, Graphic Design, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of professional experience creating visually impactful learning assets based on UX principles for large companies or entities.
- Experience creating and/or redesigning Instructor-Led Training (ILT).
- Strong ability to work with client and SMEs to provide recommendations on visually appealing and impactful layout for training assets.
- Experience creating training related to personal safety topics required.
- Experience creating, modifying, or selecting graphics.
- Must be proficient in PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat (consultant to provide their own equipment and software licenses).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Must be able to share visually impressive instructor-led training samples.
