Job Description

Our client, a global leader in technology and innovation, is seeking a versatile Instructional Designer / Learning Project Manager to support a major initiative: educating internal and external members of their supply chain, including leaders, on supply chain standards and best practices. This role is ideal for a creative learning professional who can move comfortably between instructional design, eLearning development, and visual design, and who understands both the front-end experience and the back-end mechanics of how learning content is built and delivered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with SMEs and the internal training team to assess existing materials, determine what to update versus build from scratch, and develop new, SCORM-compliant eLearning content.
  • Design and develop 15–20 interactive eLearning courses (10–45 minutes each) using tools such as Articulate Storyline 360, Rise 360, and Adobe Captivate.
  • Use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to customize and enhance course interactivity and learner experience.
  • Manage the full eLearning development lifecycle—scoping, storyboarding, timelines, reviews, stakeholder communications, and quality assurance.
  • Design engaging graphics and presentations that align with brand standards, using tools like Adobe Illustrator and PowerPoint.
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of a new LMS/LCMS, offering insights and lessons learned from previous system rollouts.
  • Translate complex technical and compliance topics into clear, engaging, and instructionally sound learning experiences.
  • Work collaboratively across a 12-person communications team, balancing multiple projects and adapting to evolving priorities.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience developing SCORM-based eLearning and using Articulate Storyline 360, Rise 360, or Adobe Captivate.
  • Hands-on coding skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to extend functionality and refine user experience within eLearning tools.
  • Proven ability to manage eLearning projects from concept through delivery; formal project management certification not required.
  • Deep understanding of UX/UI principles, accessibility standards, and modern learning design.
  • Graphic and presentation design skills using Adobe Illustrator, PowerPoint, and related tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working independently and coordinating with diverse stakeholders.
  • A natural curiosity and self-driven approach—able to navigate ambiguity while maintaining momentum and producing high-quality results.

Tools & Technology
  • Articulate Storyline 360, Rise 360, Adobe Captivate
  • Adobe Illustrator and related design software
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript (for learning customization)
  • Microsoft Office and standard collaboration platforms

Work Structure
  • Fully remote position.
  • Consultant will serve as the eLearning SME on a collaborative, 12-person communications team.
  • Tools and laptop provided—no personal licenses required.
  • Work is largely independent but requires proactive communication and close coordination with project stakeholders.

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months with possible extension
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: 100% remote

The pay range for this is $55.00 to $60.00 per hour on a W2 basis. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
