Learning Strategist- 100% Virtual (Canada)
Job Description
Our client is experiencing rapid growth, with its workforce more than doubling over the past year. As the organization scales, it has become clear that informal knowledge transfer is no longer sustainable. To support continued growth and performance, our client is seeking a Learning Strategy Consultant to assess the current training landscape, identify learning gaps, and develop a formalized learning strategy. This project is a key enabler of workforce readiness, operational consistency, and future scalability. Without this initiative, the organization risks inefficiencies, inconsistent knowledge retention, and potential quality issues as it grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a thorough assessment of existing training and knowledge-sharing practices.
- Identify learning and performance gaps across technical and manufacturing teams.
- Develop a comprehensive learning strategy and roadmap aligned to business objectives.
- Recommend appropriate learning solutions (e.g., ILT, eLearning, microlearning) to close identified gaps.
- Deliver a final document outlining:
- Current state assessment
- Gap analysis
- Strategic roadmap with prioritized recommendations
- Suggested training initiatives and modalities
- Strong background in learning analysis and strategy development.
- Deep understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.
- Experience building or formalizing a training function in a growing organization.
- Familiarity with manufacturing or technical environments.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- No specific tools required at this stage; consultant may be asked to provide recommendations.
- Consultant must use their own licenses and equipment.
- Use of AI tools is allowed, with the expectation that all outputs will be thoroughly reviewed and meet high-quality standards.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive, consultative approach.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Able to provide structure, clarity, and recommendations with minimal oversight.
- A true learning consultant who brings insights—not just execution.
