Job Description
Our large manufacturing client is seeking a Technical Writer with experience observing plant manufacturing processes and creating operational procedure documents (aka Instructional Documents) including photos and timing cycle details. Deliverables will be five instructional documents, some created in Excel, using existing templates.

Hours: Estimated as up to 200 hours through EOY.
Location: Remote/virtual role requiring just 1-2 days onsite over the course of the project in Winter Garden, FL. Client is seeking a local resource.

In this role you will:
- Observe operations at our client’s manufacturing facility in Winter Garden, FL (proposed dates are October 10, 24, and/or 28).
- Meet with SMEs to extract information for content development.
- Create five (5) 1-2 page long Operations Procedure Documents.
Skills & Experience Requirements:
- 10+ years in Technical Writing
- Experience observing manufacturing processes to create procedural documentation.
- Notable ability to document difficult concepts and procedures in an easy to understand way.
- Comfortable being on a factory floor.
- Understand how to take cycle times.
- Highly proficient in Word, Excel, and creating PDFs (consultant must provide their own laptop and tool licenses.
- Able to work independently and with SMEs.
- Industrial Engineering background (time/labor/allocation reports) a plus (not required)
