Job Description
We are working with our client, a global professional services, to locate a skilled Training Consultant to develop and implement a formal training plan that enhances our team’s proficiency and confidence in utilizing our technology tools. The Training Consultant will play a critical role in creating a cohesive training experience for technology platforms. This position will involve the development of urgent training materials, facilitation of instructional sessions, and the formulation of a strategic plan for ongoing training initiatives. The consultant will leverage adult learning principles to deliver engaging and effective training solutions. We are looking for a proactive consultant who can effectively engage with both L&D teams and technical experts, facilitating collaboration and knowledge sharing in a dynamic environment.

Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Virtual with up to 30% travel
The pay range is $60 to $70 per hour. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.

Key Responsibilities:
- Development (60%):
- Create diverse training deliverables including quick videos, microlearning modules, and Quick Reference Guides (QRGs).
- Develop instructor-led training (ILT) courses tailored to the needs of various technology groups.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather and synthesize information into usable training content.
- Facilitation (30%):
- Deliver ILT courses effectively, ensuring that participants grasp key concepts and apply them to their work.
- Adapt facilitation style to accommodate various technology groups and learning environments.
- Administration/Strategy (10%):
- Assist in the development of a long-term training strategy that includes ongoing training infrastructure.
- Document and report on training progress and outcomes.
- Understanding of Adult Learning Principles:
- Proven ability to apply adult learning theories to design engaging training experiences.
- Strong Expertise Across Various Technologies:
- Familiarity with a range of technological tools and platforms, with the ability to extract and convey complex information clearly.
- Instructional Design Background:
- Experience in instructional design across multiple modalities (eLearning, blended learning, virtual ILT).
- Strong Facilitation Experience:
- Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate training sessions in a technology context.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience in the insurance or financial sector is a plus.
- Proficiency with Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office 365.
- Must be comfortable navigating chaotic situations and collaborating with both L&D and technical personnel.
Tools and Resources:
- Client will provide necessary tools and licenses.
- The consultant will need their own laptop for work.
