Job Description

  Our client (energy, materials handling, and equipment) with three divisions launched UKG/Schoox LMS ~2 years ago for its main division. They are seeking a consultant highly skilled in this LMS to determine strategy/approach to the overall LMS infrastructure and governance for the main division. This work will support their current plans and work to implement the LMS for the two other company divisions/banners. 

Once this has been completed, the project may also include assisting our client in migrating Health & Safety eLearning Content for all three divisions to the UKG/Schoox LMS. This content is currently hosted by a partner.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Determining strategy/approach to overall LMS infrastructure and governance for all company’s business lines
  • Partner with cross-functional learning teams to lead project work/initiatives, as needed.
  • Potentially support the implementation of the UKG/Schoox LMS across two other company divisions through your infrastructure and governance work for existing set up.
 
Overall Governance
  • Create required structure, organization, standards, nomenclature, etc. across all platform areas to support business needs, and improve governance and system management.
  • Provide recommendations on SOPs, as needed.
  • Document any standards or processes established.
User Management & Admin Permissions
  • Admin Permissions – Resolve issues with UKG access levels, ensuring appropriate admin privileges.
  • User Management Structure – review and validate current set up and above unit/unit associations.
  • Create “Brands” as needed in Above Unit/Units.
  • User Additional Fields – identify any user additional fields to support future needs and auto-enrollment.
User Experience
  • Preferred Language – need to better manage preferred language, especially for FR users.
  • Improve UX – improve overall experience to be more intuitive and improve experience for non-English speaking users. Examples: French translation accuracies and consistency in terminology.
  • Enhance look & feel – banner image, platform colors, etc.
Content Management
  • Course and Content Categories Restructure and align content. Needs to support content type(s) and audiences. Examples: Business Group, User Language, Role Type (specific role-based training).
  • Manage visibility permissions.
  • Implement nomenclature for improved management and ownership of content.
  • Ensure language assignment identified across all content & manage visibility accordingly Clean up archived content.
  • ILT & VILT – improve/support implementation of processes and functionality (registration, attendance, etc.). Work with admins to roll-out Teams integration at personal account level.
  • Auto-assignment rules.
Reporting
  • Work with teams to enhance current reporting capabilities and automate manual reporting processes where feasible.
Notifications
  • Automate no-show notifications to supervisors.
  • Enhance registration confirmation emails to include course details and copies to supervisors.
Issues Reported
  • Investigate and rectify current issues. Examples:
  • Reporting discrepancies
  • System stability issues
  • Address expiry period issues for parts curricula
  • Auto-assignment rule issues
Future Road-mapping
  • Provide recommendations and priorities for future roadmap based on current state and future state (short and long-term). Advise on scope and feasibility of stakeholder requests. Examples:
  • Improve page loading times and ensure search criteria are retained during navigation.
  • Develop a comprehensive reporting dashboard for training metrics, including attendance, course completion, instructor performance, and financial tracking.
Skills & Experience Requirements:
  • 10+ years’ experience working with large LMSs for large enterprises.
  • Expert in UKG/Schoox LMS implementation, set-up, and administration.
  • Must be able to work independently and also perform as an LMS Team Lead.

Start: 12/1 targeted (client is flexible).
Duration: To be estimated by chosen consultant.
Weekly Hours: To be estimated by chosen consultant.

The pay range is $90 to $140 per hour (USD). Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
